Off to Chicago for remainder of week. But wanted to leave you with my recipe for a “mint” martini. Not too sweet, refreshing and pleasant. I had one (ok – several) at the Thompson Hotel (ok – so it was more than several, but they were good) in NYC 2 wks ago. I’ve been working on the recipe so you don’t have to get as trashed as I did trying to replicate it (think David Hasselhoff home video).

Here it is enjoy …

3-4 tablespoons of chopped fresh mint
1 lime (quartered)
3-4-5 (or whatever) ounces of Skyy citrus vodka
2 tablespoons simple syrup
Ice

Bash up the lime and mint with the syrup in your martini shaker. Give it a good bashing. You’ve got frustrations don’t you? Ice. Vodka. Shake. Pour, float a whole mint leaf on top. Enjoy.
