My Trip Out

Gay married man coming out story

Absence makes the heart grow fonder

I’m in a mind numbing meeting here in the U.S. How and why we endure this crap, I have no idea. In the middle of the meeting, Tiger Cub is ringing. I duck out to take the call.

I’m figuring he needs me to reveal another one of his Scooby snack locations, or some other problem in the flat he needs me to resolve. But a minute into the call, I realize he’s just calling to say hello. We’re chatting along and suddenly he offers up that he misses me.

I miss him too. The comfort of someone you know. I laugh, how we bicker with each other, but the reality is we’re quite warm together. He asks if I am serious about moving to continental Europe. “Why do you want to come with me?”, I ask. “Maybe”, is his reply.

My absence has given Tiger some space to think and realize how cold the world can be alone and perhapsĀ  some time to reflect on our own relationship. I’m happy he called and happy that he appears to be reflecting on things. He’s a good kid in his heart and he’s my little brown cub.

  1. Following on from yesterdays comments….is he worth possibly getting a broken heart. Oh, you’re a sensible chap, but you’re also human.
    I’m sure there’s a lot more to this tale……

  2. Awwwwweeeeee, very sweet post! You are sooooo all over the place with him, one minute, glad you’re finishing up in May, the next, wanting him to move to Europe with you! It’s too confusing! šŸ˜‰

  3. yes well Chris neither Monty nor Single Guy nor I can work you out. We all live in Sydney and might even catch up for a drink tonight for Monty’s Birthday. But I am closest to you in situation tho I am still married. I just reckon ‘T C’ is just a stage you need to get thru and move on to finding someone closer in age and lifestyle for you to truly settle into real life.
